Hi guys!
My girlfriend and i are going on a hollyday to the Gran Canaria..
And since its part of Spain there are cannabis sociaal clubs on the island..
But whats the deal with those? Can you go to a special club as a tourist?
I've looked a couple of them up on Google and they show reviews of people from different nationalities..
I even tried to contact one via Facebook but i tot no reply..
We're used to smoke weed on a daily base and would like to do so on vacation..
I dont feel like buying my ganja from scetchy people on the street..
Can anyone help me clarify this subject?

Go into one with your passport and €20 registration fee, and the address of where you are staying, thats all I needed when I was there last (maybe 2 years)

It's different in different areas of spain, kinda like in different states in the USA. I'm on the mainland in Andalucia, so I'm familiar with the rules around here, but have no idea about the canary islands. I imagine it's like madra said down on the island, show up with your passport, and some cash to pay the registration fee, they'll not your info and you'll likely need an address in spain. You might need a NIE number which can be picked up at the police station. Sounds strange but visits to the police station are plentiful here in spain. We have to go a few times a year for various paperwork things.

Thanks for thinking of me BarmBuster

How's things going for you? I know you had some issues and I suspect things move very slowly in their system. Best wishes for a better New Year for you and yours. bb

Things are still moving slowly... I've been waiting 2 years 5 months already and maybe another year, it's crazy I appreciate it. I think this will be a good year. Here's to you and yours as well.

I miss all you guys as well. I'm still chillin in Spain. Kinda lost interest in hanging out on RIU after I got arrested for growing. It's been over 3 years now I've been awaiting trial... thankfully waiting at home, not locked up like many people here have to do. And yeah, people wait years here locked up for trial, get sentenced to a few years and get no credit for time served. Pretty insane. I never knew what the right to a speedy trial meant, now I do. I'm guessing maybe I'll have trial in 2020, who knows. In the meantime I'm enjoying life, still growing a plant or two a year, this year sucked though. I didn't get seeds into dirt until May, planted 10. 4 were duds that I let die, and the other 6, all males. FFS! So now I have some seedlings that will hopefully get a little bit of the leftover summer to grow a few inches and give me a tiny bit of smoke for the winter. lol... what a bust of a year.

In other news, I've become a mediation and kundalini yoga instructor. I've been doing a lot in recovery aka AA. I marked 14 years without a drink on Sept 5. I have a new job representing brands on social media, so next time you tell your favorite _____ company that you love them or have a question, it might be me responding saying "Thanks so much for your interest, blah blah"... it's a super chill job, I love it. My daughter just turned 6. My Spanish is awesome at this point. I picked up cycling a couple years ago. I have a legit bald spot in the back of my head (which I don't believe is actually there until I see pictures and I'm depressed afterward, hahaha).

I just went on a trip to the north for end of summer and walked in caves where there are (at least) 41,000-year-old cave paintings. Fucking insane. And I visited a pot shop up there too... was my first time buying weed in a couple years. It kinda sucks, but it was cheap at least. 5-7 euros per gram, and 7 euros per gram of hash.

Oh and a fun story I think you both would like is about my cat. I was driving home a different way one day with my daughter in the back of the car. It was on a highway, the rural version, one lane each way, undivided, so a road where you drive fast. In the oncoming lane, I noticed a little thing in the middle of the lane... all the cars were driving over this thing. As I sped by it looked like maybe a tiny stuffed animal. Or a piece of rubbish, idk. I thought, nah... couldn't be... but turned around anyways. As I pulled up and pulled off the road to park, it looked more like a tiny stuffed animal. Opened the door and took a step towards it and heard the cries, little baby meows coming from it and a wag of its tail. Then to my horror, there were 3 more cars coming. I didn't try to stop them because I was sure they would veer off course slightly and crush the little thing in front of my eyes. So I stood and waited for what seemed like minutes, then ran over and grabbed the tiny thing by the scruff. It was probably 4 or 5 days old. Eyes just opened and couldn't walk really. I plopped in my little girl's lap while I went around looking for mama cat or siblings or anything. Couldn't find anything so we had a new cat.

Daughter named her Dinah as we had watched Alice in wonderland the day previous. We've had Dinah for about 1.5 years now, and I love my little girl. Best thing I ever found laying in the middle of the road for sure. :)

Jig brother thank you so much for coming in here. I’ve thought about you off and on for years. I always missed our correspondence.

6? 6 years old? wow :-) I know you’re an awesome father.

Geez I’m glad you’re at home. This has got to be hard on all of you.

I got sick. I’ll survive lol but lots of pain. I hit the arthritis lottery as @curious2garden can tell ya.

I’m so glad to hear from you. Pretty sure you have my email but if not pm if you can and I’ll give you other info as well.

Take care brother, hugs to the mrs from us. Sunny
