:cuss:ok, i have read a million topics on curing drying , and storing. but, i have many diff strains i have dries for 5-7 days, and have been burping for 2 weeks. i take small taste test, and its harsh, and tastes nothig like great weed. its all greenhouse seed strains. maybe i just need to wait, and keep burping. and also when burping...when do you keep jars sealed withought burping them?
 
Curing is something that takes a few crops to get the hang of it. You probably need to burp them for a good 3-4 weeks before leaving them sealed for an entire week or longer. I try to burp twice a day for the 1st week, once a day for the 2nd week, once every couple days for the 3rd week then leave it sealed for a week and then check it. I dont care what anyone says, a good cure takes at least a month. You'll see on here more often than not the term "two weeks".
 
yea you should have flushed for 2 weeks b4 chopping...also maybe u chopped too early so they didnt get the chance to develop their full taste
 
Like everyone said, that sounds like a classic case of not flushing or not flushing enough, 2 weeks before harvest. If you did flush how did you flush and with what? I bought some Clearex to flush my girls next month. Just curious, did you flush during your grow?
 
i did flush for a week or so, on about 3 plants out of 14. i see now that was not efficient enough. the plants that arent done yet have been flushed for two weeks now, and have about a week left before chop. thanks for all the replies. i just used phed tap water for flush. im am in soil, and the pots are very small.

You said you read a lot about curing but maybe reading one more thing might help you some, if it is something you have not already read. If not check it out. It is worth it.

flushing with plain water is a must or ur nug is gonna taste like ferts
 
I stop using nutes on my outdoor grows about three weeks before harvest anyways. The plant should already have plenty of oomph to finish as its requirements are diminished. The last 3 weeks I add molasses and that's all I add. Works every time.

Do ya mean RO water? Last time I checked Distilled still had stuff in it just not chlorine and some other crap is filtered but for sure stuff is in there.:confused:

You see, distilled water is generally free from impurities, toxics and chemicals. Distilled water is in fact odourless and tasteless.

Unlike other purifying methods, distilled water does not contain chlorine. This is because chlorine is left behind when the water is being boiled and left to steam. Although chlorine helps to purify water, it stays in the water for long. Regular drinking of water mixed with chlorine will lead to a number of health problems. Distilled water can also be used on a large scale basis, to contain or avoid the occurrence of any water borne diseases.

Apart from water consumption, distilled water is often use in biochemistry experiments. Using distilled water in experiments will determine the most accurate results. This is due to the fact that it does not contain of any impurities that might react unknowingly in the experiments. Hence, accurate results will not be achieved.

distilled has a PPM reading of ) because there is nothing in it. its water thats been evaporated to contain only water. the impurities dont evaporate so only the water is in there. when the air turns back to water, it is pure H2O nothing else in it. so if you flush your plants with it you get nothing but pure water running through there for your plants to drink.
 
How come people always say to use RO water instead of distilled then? Not trying to contradict you or anything just being curious, when I bought my PPM meter I was playing "Mr.Wizard" testing tap, RO distilled etc. RO came out 0, Tap came out 188, and distilled came out 65:confused:
 
Dude, there pro's that grow pounds a week that don't flush at all. I have flushed and not flushed. No differences. I thinks its all in the head and makes people feel better when they flush, would love to compare with someone else! :)

Well that makes me feel better, I was told on here to flush my plants with 3 times the amount of water every day for the last 2 weeks. Thats over 50 gallons a day lmao!! I flushed ("leeched") but not every day like I read. Thats sounds a little over kill IMO
 
Yah, flushing is an overused term....makes it sound like you need to put a firehose on em :lol: Simply feed your plants clean water the last two weeks.....they don't need any more nutes to finish. You can add molasses if you wish. :peace:

they say use reverse osmosis because u can filter tap water through there and have it come out with almost nothing in it. its cheaper in the long run to buy a RO filter than to buy gallons of distilled water everytime. but they are both pratically the same thing -- pure water.
