after you put your buds in airtight jars for a week or two (burping them daily until desired dryness)......your buds will start to smell like dank nugz

my first harvest smelt like literallyy like shit for the drying process and about the first week of curing, then it got UBER SPICY like my nose wrinkled from it having such a spicey smell, n even tho it was super premature every1 said they liked it so curing really does help with everything, smell and potency

man I hear you, lol!!! But, listen to the guys above, curing makes all the difference in the world! I already declared my first grow a waste of time, lol, I thought that there was no way that something smelling this bad (like hay on a bad day) could ever smell good:spew:But, sure thing after just one week curing it smells sooo good:mrgreen:.

My biggest mistake was not drying it till the stems snap. And I'm almost certain that after 4 days yours is not dry either, unless you are flash drying the buds (not good). Mine took a good 12 days to dry till the stems snapped. And until completely dry, they do NOT cure! So, be patient, pull them out of the jars, let them dry COMPLETLEY, and then cure:mrgreen:

Good luck,

after a week of drying, then 2 weeks of curing, my buds smelled better than they did before I cut em. Somehow this shwag bag seed turned out fruity as a mofo, I am very proud of that single little black seed.

it REALLY is important to wait until the bud is FULLY dry, as in stem snapping and the whole deal like that other dude said in page 1. You're going to think, ok ok they're dry enuff, but man they really aint, just go by the stem snapping ordeal if they snap they are ready man, if they bend or you ain hearing the SNAP in the snapping than they AINT ready, ya put all that work and patience into em don't skip it now during the most critical time

has anyone ever used things, or processes different than hanging buds.....heating....dehydrators....silica packets?
waste of time unless you want cruddy bud. let them dry until the stem snaps then cure in a jar or tubbaware and ope the lid 2-3 hours a day atleast twice if possible and do it like 2 weeks and those buds will smell fucking awesome.:blsmoke:

some bud just does not smell strong. but after about a week you should notice a huge change. it should smell fruity or citrusy sometimes peppery,or earthy and the bud should be spongy feeling and not really wet or dry and crumbly make sure you watch for mold. some bud is more susceptible to mold than others and unless you know the strain really well u just g2 watch it. then pack some and it should burn eavenly in joints and NOT crackle or pop from not flushing out chemicals and stuff:twisted::blsmoke:
