Smell of female

hi!

i have four plants 7 weeks into vegging-period. Three plans has a distinct marihuana smell - the forth smells nothing at all.

i am hoping the non-smeller is the only male.

is smell at this stage an indicator when it comes to sex...?

I am pretty sure that smell has NO relivence to sex of plant. But i personally have found some truth in the heighy having been relative to male/female. You could probably call this evolution, hence males need to be taller to disperse their pollen more adequatly to the females below dunno all i know id all my tallest plants where dudes thus far.

All my smelly veggin plants turned out male, and now i have a female that wont stop stretching. The bitch is 10' taller than her siblings. All same strain, all same planting, watering, feeding, etc...

But back to the question, my males were skunky during veg, and my fems didnt smell at all. But this was my first serious grow.

i started with two plants, one was tall and smelled strong, other was shorter and didnt smell. The tall smelly one was a male and the small one was a female

right male, left female

yo i got like three plants ones huge and smelly and the other two are small, and still smelly lol, i hope the big one isnt male

i'm growing 3 plants which all ended up being females. how lucky is that shit? anyways they all smell skunky. some smell more days than others..sometimes theyd quit smelling and then start smelling again.

good news for you is that the smell doesn't mean its a damn male. cheers!!

Out of seven plant that I have all smell. All smell the same and they started to smell about the 4th week in veg. As of now I have 3 females and 3 males plus one I can't tell.

So I would say with my strain smell was not an indicator.

all my smelly ones turned out to be male. females didnt have much smell at all more like plain old grass from the lawn. only certain strains seem to do this for me though.

based on ur experiences I think its safe to conclude that smell is NOT an indicator when it comes to sexing in the veg period.
