so ive been curin my bud a lil while now, and it doesnt even smell like bud should, idk what its like, kinda like grass or hayish, wtf is the deal??????

umm i guess its just a shity strain some really shity outdoor sometimes smells like grass or something like it im not sure mann...it dosent even smell like ganja when u bust it up to smoke:? :|

I trim up my nugs and hang dry until the stem snaps. I just store the bud in canning jars and burp daily for about 1/2 an hour or so a day for the first week and then I burp daily for 5 minutes after that. The herb smell comes around after 2 to 3 weeks.

hey smokeablunt, i understand u got questions, but none of them pertain to my QUESTION, thus a thread was born!! but still, dont jock threads, and lucky enough im a nice guy, and u should try to keep ur humidity low, around 30-40% or so i hear

i just think the fan will speed things up (the drying)! for me it did.. I only had them hanged for 4 days before put them in jars, usually people say to let it dry for a week or more

:peace:

well actually u DO want a fan in ur room when drying, it helps speed up the process of drying and it actually helps PREVENT mold from gettin on ur buds when drying, so im kinda almost 120% sure u really do need a fan in there. but u try to dry ur buds for a period of time almost 2 weeks , but past that isnt good, u want them to dry fast but not too fast, so around a week is good, a week n a half is better, but keep it away from that 2 weeks mark.

and i dont think hanging them longer would help with smell or curing, the smell comes from the curing process, and i think hangin them longer just wouldnt help at all, mite hurt more than help

You dont need a fan to prevent mold man. Only thing you need is just low temp/humidity with open air. Mold will grow in excess heat and/or sealed area. The fan will will only dry the outside of the nugs fast nothing more, isnt the goal for a drying/curing process. Maybe good for a quick dry sample, not so much if your concerened with hay scent.
