Smart meter questions

Hey guys I was just thinking about these things as I am going to be moving. I have read prob 100 threads on this but all from 2011-2013. Any new insight on these stupid meters . Are they still a huge deal? I pay on time every time and don' even know if where I move will have one but I want to know more about it if it does . I am all personal use and only will be running 2-4 in a 4x4 under a fluence spyder x plus... can anyone enlighten me and put my mind at ease? I appreciate facts and not speculation. If you are not sure just say so. Any info is greatly appreciated. Not sure what this setup will pull total but I imagine I'm still under 1000 watts combined right? My state is working it' way to legal but not 100 percent there yet lol

As long as you pay your bill on time they won't care what you using the power for. under 1000W is no problem. My coffee pot uses that much power.

my power company called me and negotiated a reduction if I flowered on their suggested time slot. The move saved me 41% and happened days after they installed a meter. I love my new meter, I'm connected with my phone and see every time a light or ac, or heat or pump or fan goes off or comes on and know the cost per minute to the penny(kinda sucks watching that anyways)

I wouldnt worry about your power usage as much as your odors.

I was guessing it the 1000 watt thing but you are prob right. Never had o e before and don't want to move and have no tent ya know lol

My odors will be under control with my phresh ( I hope) with another filter on standby. Tons of you are in a legal state also... I'm sure that makes the paranoia minimal. Thanks for the quick reply guys..

Just build this and start selling power back to the company.

Well in the past phresh is all that has worked for me and maybe a black ops filter a time or 2. I'l prob dry in my 4x4. Maybe I'm a lucky one with odor problems. That said some strains were not the most pungent. (Northern lights)
I have done this quite a few times and had problems with cheap filters and phresh seemed to do me right...knock on wood... thanks for the help and response I appreciate it.

yep, the more I grew the better my controls got, the better my weed got, the stinkier it got too = the more odors escaped my phresh filters. lol

Maybe I should have added I use ona outside tent and I do t know if my mini ozone gen. Do anything but they may be working to lol... Maybe that helps... it sure smells good after a good cure.... or I suck that bad but I doubt it... but I'm sure lots of you are much better. For me it's been a hobby since 15 inside and out. I' like to think I have gotten good results many times. Not the best and never will be is how I look at it. Keeps me here and learning.

So I gather even in a non legal state 1000 watts is no worry? Can anyone in a non legal state chime in. My fluence light is 685w and a hurricane 6" inline, and a couple small 13-16 watt fans.. I'm guessing I'm even under 1000watts at the wall. Was more worried about the timer giving it away. Well over 20 grows inside from micro led to 1000watt hid but never on a smart meter so it just has me a little paranoid is all. Thanks To all who have helped and reply. Nope no worries. If you are growing for your own personal stash you'll be fine. My shit is 100% illegal. My grow easily uses over 1700 watts not counting fans. My monthly bill typically exceeds $250-$300 depending upon time of year. I get a report from the electric company about every other month that says I use about 300% more power than my neighbors do and that I should call to schedule an appointment with an energy efficiency specialist to inspect my home for improvements. Obviously I already know why my consumption is high so I never do. I just keep paying what I owe each month and that's it. The report seems more for identifying electrical problems or to see if someone was stealing your juice than it is to find peeps growing weed.
I actually saw them taking the readings one day from my smart meter or maybe they were looking for an address for a service call I don't know. They simply roll by in a truck. When I first moved here there was an actual person who came each month to physically record usage on a clipboard; I actually feel better having the smart meter so nobody is snooping around my property.

my meter reader saw me carrying a 4 footer from the grow rooms to the house once, embarrassed he quickly turned his head the other way and I continued on. Same guy read my meter for years until a smart meter was gifted

I think if i had to go with this then i would move my garden over to full led's,I see no need to have one fitted ,you don't have to have one.I think has long has you pay your bills on time every time then you will be fine,Im thinking that your in the uk ,They asked us if we wanted one a while back we said no .

from what I understand the smart meters in EU r smarter than the ones being used in the us,we got the dumbed down model, its just a better chip that eu has,most us power companys don't have the upgrades to fully use smart meters yet!! .the EU is way ahead of the usa,had mine 5 yrs love it

Nope in in USA. As far as what would be running would be a fluence spyder x plus 685watt led, hurricane 6in inline and prob 2 13-20 watt fans in a 4.7x4.7x6.5 sun hut. I' not sure if even be at 1000 watts with all that or barley be there. This is all personal stash for me and the wife. What it boils down to is i just love growing the plant... all plants for that matter not selling them. Most I'll do is help or give some to one or 2 very close friends if they are desperate and they live in a legal state anyway lol.... I just want to grow and not be paranoid about it. If anyone has anything to say I'm all ears. Biggest reason I worry is my kid. Im a family man that d nt like shady shit and have always grown my own but have never had such a meter. Thanks to all who have contributed thus far. Keep em coming!

Yeah but for most in illegal states this is what they're thinking is gonna happen.
