Small puffy buds

Hey guys i've been looking over the forum to see if i could answer my own question but havent found an answer...but i'm nearing the end of my second grow and i have quite a few amber trichs but my buds are very small and puffy...could it be because im using CFLs and also my fan leaves are still very green
 
Size of buds or yield does have a lot to do with lighting but also strains and dna. I used t5s at one time got small yield, used a 400 hps got good yield, now with a 1k they are giant.
 
I have 350w (3 bulbs)...i cut one decent looking bud off as a tester and it shrunk to almost nothing it smelled and lookef great but was less than .5g
 
Its just bagseed prolly mexican...i have 2 in flowering...the other is in preflower and it has really decent sized pistils...but the girl thats almost done is more branch than bud, could it be a combination of weak light and letting her stretch too much and weak nutes (2-7-4)...the area is 3' widex4' deepx 3'tall...the girls are actually bending because they are too tall(low xp, no topping, tried training, didnt turn out well)

what is the temp swing in your grow room? how hot does it get and how long does it stay there?
 
it gets between 85F and 87F and it stays that temp from about an hour after i turn on the lights....at night gets to be in the low 70's
 
from the pix those don't look like they're ready...they actually look like the first 2-3 weeks imo. The stretching might account for those popcorn buds...the claw i can't see, but normally that's too much N also the really green leaves tell me that..when did you start giving her flowering nutes? Maybe find something with more PK?
 
@hank yes it smells really nice after 3-4 days drying and smokes ok kinda harsh but the buds reduce to almost nothing -_-"....

@Fan there on week 5(3 more days)...but thats what im sayin the buds are sooo small but i have a lot of amber...i only vegged her for 28 days 24/0 light
 
hmmmm well i'll have to put the big fan back in the room with them to cool it off in there.....and do you guy think it would hurt to prune off some of the bottom fan leaves that really aren't getting much light....hopefully with the temp reduction i'll see a big difference

My favorite plant i have ever grown is from a bag seed. It def puts on big buds.

Looking at the pic though, you can see that most of the plant is shaded. It doesn't look lit up. Temps too, for sure.
