Small plants - 2gal or 3gal pot??

Looking to get the plants to ~10" and flower... Ending around 2 feet tall...

Could I get away with a:

2Gal 8 1/2"W x 8"D

Or

3Gal 10 1/2"W x 9 1/2"D

I know a 3Gal would be best, but dirt will get $$ and such... just checkin before I buy any. Thanks!

I use both. I've found I can get plants pretty much as big in the smaller ones, but you've got to water them a lot more often. Advantage is you can fit more per whatever area.
