small grow box

any ideas for a small grow box to fit only one plant at a time?

Get a cardboard box a little bigger around than the size pot you want the plant in, and about 3 feet tall (with flaps taped up) and paint the whole inside white or get mylar to line it and that should do great (don't use foil for reflection).

..or if U use foil put the dull side out inside the box..

Search the site for speaker grow box. Great idea...........wish I had thought of it first but I take no credit for this idea!

What is the deal with foil? Too reflective or what?
I have a lot of it and it works for me....just wondering what you guys have seen that makes you NOT use it.

Learning is FUN!

from what ive heard foil causes burn spots on the plant!

if u put shiny side out it may reflect concetrate light and create burn spots on leaves. So its better tu put dull side out and itll be fine. I did that many times before.

the speaker growboxes are a good idea for sure..
you can grow 1 plant just about anywhere man.. honestly..
you don't really need much for it

no you cant use incandescent lights. maybe you could use an old computer case? if you took all the shit out of an old computer case and left the power supply and fan in, could you grow a plant with it? might be worth a try

I have heard of computer cases, but they are very cramped so most people use a lot of very expensive LED grow lights in it. And a cardboard box won't light on fire, especially if you use mylar on the inside or paint it white. I have done this before with CFLs and it's worked great.
