Hey Everybody i have another question to pose to you. so i planted my germinated seeds exactly one week ago in a basic organic potting soil. the sprouts are definatly growing but they seem to be growing at a very slow rate. the tallest one is only about 3 inches tall and still only has four leaves. now i know when you grow in soil it is generally a slower process, but i have been looking at alot of grow journals and everybody elses plants look to be larger at a week old. i have 4 26watt cfls just an inch above these 6 sprouts.i have foil surrounding all sides of the cups that they have been planted in and i just keep the top soil moist with a spray bottle, i dont full blown water the plants yet. so with all that in mind what can you suggest to me? am i fuckin' up or am i just being over zelous? please let me know. thanks

I have had different strains of plants grow side by side and one is twice as fast growing as the other. For example I am growing lowryder 2, White Widow Max, Red Shiva, and THC Bomb now and the Red Shiva is half the size as the others. I also noticed that if you’re going to use fluorescents the tubes work better than the bulbs and they aren’t as hot. That’s just my experience with this sorta thing. Good luck

i have heard that as well but i cant find mylar (or any sort of metalic reflective sheeting ) around town so im stuck with foil.

foil is one of the worst reflectors!!! it crinkles and reflects the light at oblique angles! I learned that in a dvd (jorge cervantes ultimate grow dvd)....u can buy or order some panda film..its black on one side and white on the other! and u should water ur plants well..allow 10% drainage after every watering...try to buy or download that dvd...it helped me out a lot!:hump:

:peace:~!GNOME-GROWN!~:peace:

i dont know brother i wont take your word untill i can see some pics of your grow....STRANGER!! haha just playin. but panda film eh? ill check it out.

im using GE soft white 26w bulbs. i figured those would be fine do you think if i make a switch my plants will start to grow more?

ok i take it i can pick those up at home depot? also how many should i have for my plants im thinking like one per plant? also how should i hang those up?
