Small brown splotches on leaves?

So I first noticed these spots yesterday and I thought maybe it was because I had the CFL bulb about an inch from the leaves. I lifted it to about 2-3 inches, though, and today the spots are getting worse, not better.

Here's the leaf where I first noticed the splotches:

I also noticed one of the leaves from the first node has some spots now too:

Otherwise the plant looks pretty healthy, I think:

I haven't used any ferts yet, but the organic potting soil I'm using (McEnroe) says it is "fortified" with "natural supplements" and is "non-burning." They are vague on the bag and vague on their website (link) about what goes into the soil or how "hot" it is. Here's the ingredients list from the bag: "Compost, sphagnum peat moss, and natural supplements." I mixed the soil about 70/30 soil:perlite, but otherwise have made no soil modifications.

I was planning to feed ferts starting in about a week, but if this is a deficiency then I might start with the next watering (which will probably be in 3-4 days, give or take). Unfortunately my soil pH meter hasn't arrived yet, so I can't take any measurements at this time to help narrow down the issue.

Any thoughts?

move the light away, i burned mine with a 3 bulb 60 watt 5000k 1750lume CFL setup. its really small so heat is gonna roach that sucker quick. its too small to need nutrients and it still looks healthy. pull the light back and let it get some air! no worries

Well that's what I thought at first, but that lower leaf has spots that weren't there yesterday, and it's shielded from the bulb by another leaf directly above it (which doesn't have any spots on it).

When the spots formed I had it under a single-bulb 42w 6500k with a clamp light reflector, though today I added a second 42w CFL @ 2700k (to diversify the spectrum a bit).

I put my hand between the plant and the bulb and it was only slightly warm, not at all hot.

Now it could be that the whole box got a little warm yesterday before I turned on the air conditioning for the first time this year today, since it's in my attic. Now that the a/c is on, though, I have a duct pumping cold air directly into the box:

My humidity/temp sensor is also still in the mail, so unfortunately I can't provide that data point either.

hmm, the temp could very well be the problem. my grow box in my attic will be at 100 degrees if i dont have my intke and exhaust fan to get it to 80. you have very good supporting facts as the light being to close is not the problem
