- The medium is too moist. So I think I did over water them. It's leaves are green and healthy Looking. I had sand on top cuz I had a small gnat issue (gone). I took off the sand and found the VERY moist medium and the base of the plant was was very skinny brown and hard. Is this some sort of root rot? Did the gnat Larva get to it? I can post a pic if needed but I think I explained it all pretty well...
