Slug Trouble - Weed Salad Helpline

Well, I've already lost 2 Guerillas Gustos due to slugs, I detest those little buggers, one of my Early Skunks has been attacked severely but will survive if not munched on again, another has been nibbled on, all remedies are welcome, I'm only willing to use natural deterents, I really need a good pepper spray recipe and my first idea was to use copper wire in a ring around the base, I don't feel like buying a certain gauge thick type, will stripping a decent gauge electrical wire do the job? I just wanted to strip it and wrap it as a wreath around the plants, considering that woven copper electrical wire may corrode faster I'm worreid about soil corrosion contamination, or may try tomatoe cages with copper wire wrapped amongst/along them, how do I keep slugs that love young tender leaves at large?!

well this is what I just read off a website im not sure if it will work or not

Garden slugs crawl everywhere they go. And because they crawl, they won't cross over certain rough materials, such as eggshells. You can recycle eggshells for your garden to get rid of bothersome garden slugs. Just break up the shells so they're in small pieces. Then, place the pieces around vegetable or flower plants you want to protect.

nother homemade remedy to get rid of bothersome garden slugs is to use some beer. It's really quite simple and pretty inexpensive. Just place a low pie tin near the plants in your vegetable or flower garden. Pour about a half inch of beer into the tin. The garden slugs will be attracted to the beer, and they'll climb into it. But, once inside, they'll be trapped! After you've trapped a number of slugs, you'll need to dump the beer and replace it with fresh brew.

Just like garden slugs are enemies to our garden plants, table salt spells "a-d-i-o-s" to these pests. Simply sprinkle a little table salt on the bodies of the garden slugs a
nd they will "melt" right before your eyes. Just be careful not to get any salt on your plants, or they'll dry up too!

Hmmmm... Looks like I just need to make a barrier... The sharper, drier and saltier the better... Any organic remedies?...
