slow seedling growth!

K I got 4 short riders, 2of them are in some cheap dollar store soil and perlite and are 3 wks old. The other two are in mg organic soil and perlite and are 1&1/2 wks old today. All 4 seeds look really small but the younger ones are doing better than the older ones. I started them under a 250w mh and raised to about a little over 2 ft high. I balance out my water ph to around 6.5ish and theyre under 20/4 light schedule. All four are a couple cm tall and ate just getting there 2nd leaves... why is it so slow???! Or am I just being impatient??
 
I've got one in my grow room now that looks just like that, but it's a Power Pac, my auto creation, and it's only 13 days old.

Seems a bit slow, maybe in the next couple of days, the growth will be more noticeable. All sound good though.
 
That actually looks pretty good for a month but still pretty short. I've raised my lights to about 3ft for now but next time I'm going with atleast a week or two on flouros.

what kind of lights?? cfl's needs to be 6" away, you need a fan in there and point it at you plant. if your using some T5 or something they sould be even closer. also since they're in veg you can run the lights 24/7.... your plant is like at 2 weeks of growth.
 
if you have hps or mh lights then they should be 18" away. 3ft is the main problem, your plant will be on its way soon enough, keep up the good work!

yeah I got the MH a bit closer now, around 20-24". I think overall I messed up this grow by not being patient and making decisions in haste. Learning grow. Oh well. I'll grow them out but they're gonna b ridiculously small.
 
my first grow i used 1 2oow blue cfl, and 1 125w full spec. cfl and had them 1-2" away...any floro, or cfl shouldnt be any further then 5" away...the heat they produce is next to nothing...i have used them, and i know. unless of course your using a small grow box, or dresser...then you may want it a bit higher...but cfl's even the bigger 300w ones can only penetrate 8-10 in. or so.
