slow growth

My plants are 2.5 weeks old - they are about two inches in height but seem to be gowing too slow. I only have two leaves and the next two are not even fully developed. They seem to grow a set of leaves every week.

Is something wrong.

i will fertilize in the next couple of days as i was told not to fertilize in the first two weeks.

Can anyone suggest why they are growing so slow? Is there a product i can add that will assist - soil is good - they get average sunlight - it has been cloudy lately.

I have seen photos on this site of plants grown indoors at 2 weeks of age and they have about 8 leaves on them.

Do you ph test? Do you any other lighting other then indirect sunlight? What temp is your grow area?

Mogie - I am growing outdoors - temperature is about average 25 degrees celcius ( australia weather).

sunlight only

ph is OK

Okay sorry for that misunderstanding. But do you ph test? You still need to do that no matter where you grow your plants.

yep i ph test - its 6.5 - so can you help me Mogie - is it just that my sun is not strong enough ?- we are now in autumn so its still hot but not like our summer.

Give them a week or two and when you add ferts do so at 1/4 recommended strength. See how they look after that. How low are the night temps getting?

Lexi. I have growin outdoors in Queensland and i find that my plants have growin like this to. You should move them into direct sunlight if you havent already, i found this to greatly improve growth.

Temp at nights are about 18 - 20 degrees celcius - mogie

bigbuddie - they are in direct sunlight - maybe its just the two or three cloudy days we have had in sydney at the moment - maybe i am just panicking....
