slow growth???

hello. my girls seem to be slow growing. they are about 2 months old, started from seed and only about 8" high. I water them every few days, feed once a month and fertilize every few weeks as per instructions on the bag. they get plenty of outdoor sun. it's been a hot summer here in canada and am wondering if its slowing them down. maybe too much sun? also a friend said they are overwatered and to let them dry out so i didn't water for almost 2 weeks, when they started to wilt. They seem healthy but are super slow growing compared to other pics i have seen here. any suggestions???

What kind of soil is that?

Honestly they look VERY stunted, they look more like a really stretched and not very bushy 2 week old plant.

Honestly I dont know what to tell you but honestly this bump to the top will help you get some info.

Good luck with those things.

I think you need to just start over or something.

They look terrible, no offense but for two months. What kind of soil? What are you feeding them? How much light are they getting? What strain?

hmmmm, must be the soil. i just used half regular garden soil from a bag and half compost thinking it would be really rich in nutrients but i should have used soem perlite. i think the compost has a lot of peat and sticks and i think i have been overwatering. it was my first attempt to grow outdoors so live and learn. thanks for the input! The strain is Oasis. I bought them from a dutch grower.

so if it was a problem of overwatering and i let the soil dry out really well and only water at the first site of limpness, can they recover? it's almost august.

Start over they are probably so stressed out they would just like to die. This time put them in some good soil outdoors and do not ever bring them inside unless a crazy storm is coming, and in that case get them indoors but where there isnt a/c.

they've only ever been outdoors. isn't it too late in the season? it's almost august!!!

now that i have let them dry out a little they are doing awesome! growing lots of secondary stems, the new leaves are huge and thick and they are starting to flower!

and they told you to start over. pppfffsssttttt!!! glad to hear they are looking better. hope all turns out well. :blsmoke:

seriously! they will never be huge but they are filling out rapidly. i know to start with a more ventilated soil next year. practise makes perfect.
