Slow growth

Hi all

I germinated some northern light seeds in paper towels and transfered them to the AG. Within a week they had broke the surface and grew to about an inch in height, that was 2 weeks ago and they haven't grown any higher in height or produced any more sets of leaves. there is slight bit of discolouring on the leaves (a dark shade of green and a lighter shade of green) but from my research i've been told not to worry about different shades of green. I recently bought a digital pH meter and the pH is fine although it needs to be constantly monitered as it raises every day, again from my research on this site the pH will raise in such a small resevoir. The pH ranges from 5.8 to 6.2 mainly hovering around 5.8 but as i've stated before i am constantly adding pH up as well as pH down to maintain that level.
I gave the plants some veg nutes at 1/4 of the strength stated on the bottle in the first week and a half, for the last week the resevoir has been flushed out completely and no nutes have been added. The lights are on 24/7 and there is an airstone been used again on 24/7, So my question is what am i doing wrong, if i'm doing anything right or whatever. if anyone requies more info please ask. Thanks in advance

do you have any pics ? if so lemme see some pics of da roots if not gimme a description of the roots and plants

Here are 2 pictures of the surviving plants, sorry no pictures of the roots as they have not penetrated the sponge yet pic1 Northern lights pic2 bagseed (not 2 worried about this one)

I found a pH chart on a website last night and by looking at it I reckon i had the pH too low
for this stage of gowth, so I reckon the pH should be raised to about 6.5, and that the plant is lacking in nitrogen, what do u reckon?

are you over watering it to much? wut are the temps like? wut type of light? these are all questions you have to ask yourself.

I'm using the standard AG lights with 2 desklamp lights in the room also. the 2 desklamp lights are there mainly to keep the temp in the room around 24-25 degrees celcius. as for the standard AG lights i have moved them to within 10 inchs of the top of the plants. I have the plants on 24/7 light as i live in the northern hemisphere and night time temps can drop to -2 celcius or lower. I do not know how to count the lumens, although i read a lot about them on this forum any advise on this would also be great

IMO you should flush your rez. No nutes for the first 2 weeks is what i do and was told. get as many xtra cfl's as you can. What setting do you put it on?? did you cover all the holes so no lights are getting in your rez?? I would do some searching and as much reading as possible. Everyone on here is very helpful but you can get differing answers. I always try to get as many opinions as i can and read previous journals. You can tell what works by seeing thier end result. Hope this helps...gl

my plants are 3 weeks old. Using fox farm nutes in the aero deluxe

i just give mine water in the start sink water for me spring distillled or whatever u use i dont adjust the ph until i see roots

That's for soil. Your pH is WAY TO HIGH AT 6.5 for a water grow. Keep it under 6. Keep the lights as low as they can go. My Pro200 is about 7" from the grow surface. That was okay for me. Use bottled water and not tap water for now.

Is the pump in your AG running?. Open the lid. Can you see water running down the sponges and into the res? You should add some ferts as well since your growth has stalled. Just 1/4 - 1/2 strength.
