Slow growth, yellow tips and now tiny white bugs?

perplexed!! purchased feminized autoflowering strain from ministry in amsterdam. first time growing so i wanted to start small; only two plants and using cfl's. used good quality soil, distilled/bottled water... all high quality shit and have followed as many instructions/advice as possible yet i have lots of problems.
after a few weeks growth seemed slow and tips of leaves were yellowing; seemed like possible nitro deficiency so i gently upped the nutes and doubled lights. seemed to help at first but plants are still small (i think??) and as of today i see a millieu of tiny white bugs on top of the soil! read the very informative 'grizzly's guide to pulverizing pests' post (among others) on bugs forum and it sounds closest to nematodes but he says those are essentially invisible? bugs are very small, dont seem to have wings or jump... two bugs are identified by red arrows in pic, other pic shows size of bug in relation to pin head

lighting : started with one 200-W equivalent cfl's at blue/daylight/6500K spectrum; doubled lights when growth seemed slow. just two small plants in an 8" pot so that is more than 400W / sq ft for most of their lifetime.

plants are now a little over 6 weeks old... see pics. please halp! should i try to save these or start over...? strain info from ministry says plants will autoflower in *9 to 11 weeks* so they are approx 2/3 of the way through their veg cycle

... looks like nutrient burn to me... dunno about the bugs! my only experience so far has introduced me to spidermites ... and whitefly ... and YOUR bugs are neither of those.... but the tips of the leaves yellowing and crumpling like that says nuteburn to me.... Perhaps sand the top of the pots to kill anything breeding in the soil? Lay off the nutes...? Repot in other soil?... Don´t Give Up On Them Yet! Hope They Survive!

i only introduced nutes after two weeks; am using an organic tomato plant nute with 8-5-5 NPK. this seems quite a bit less than the average nute...

At first my lights were on 18/6; after reading some on autoflowers i switched to 24/7. the whole time lights have been about 5-6 inches from tops of plants. is it just me or are they very small for 6 weeks of veg growth?

the dude i had seen growin em had em in the same rubbermaid tub with the rest givin the same nutes same everything and his got about 7 inches when done and under a few 27 watt cfl's........ not too much fruit either........ if he had more light i bet he wouldve had a better yield but there was alot of space too....... i never had my plants in the same pot either.... those are small....... but i had some plants start wilting n shit from needing a bigger pot, but not sure on his, nuteburn maybe jus wonder how much he fed em........ i would start around lil less then 1/4 of a teaspoon of nutes, like 3/8's or something at early veg........

wow people respond so fast!!! this is cool. thanks for your help guys...
after two weeks of just plain (distilled/bottled ) water, i introduced nutes. (3tbsp's of 8-5-5 NPK dissolved in a gallon of water, being given at every other watering. from what ive read this is relatively low nuteage s'why im hesitant to think its nute burn but what do i know. from yellowing at tips i thought possible nitro deficiency, so i sprinkled nutes on top of soil according to dosage on packaging (which is for tomatoes and other plants , of course). this is about 2 tablespoons in an 8" pot with two plants.

try back at 18/6 or 20/4............ had a blueberry plant that didnt like veggin under 24 hours of light so switched it to 21/3 hit 18/6 she liked it better... started growin a tad more......... see if that works for you while givin her plain water

yea id feed pure water for another week or 2, atleast until they are 6+ inches. the bugs, get some vegetable safe bug spray, and spray a little on the plant, and pour some on the soil. (otherwise, get some non-veggie safe stuff, dilute it 1/2 way, do the same thing <---- do not do this at any point during flowering, its risky, its dangerous if your consume it, only OK during vegetative cuz theres a LONG time til its smoked, and no buds yet.)

thanks ... what do you think about their height? they are feminized autoflowering, the seed compnay info said they'll autoflower in 9-11 weeks. is it just me or do they seem very small for being 7 weeks into a 9-11week veg cycle?
