slimline mini split a/c units ???

Most have a sensor panel on the side that you can hardwire a thermostat controller to. Not sure about that brand though so I can't say for sure.

Right on, thx, I'll check it out. The brand is con-air. Gonna call tech support Monday... 24000 btu, lots of air movement in the room, 5 bare bulb 1k , sealed. Cools great but a little inconsistent though... The thetmostat probe is right on the coils.

Also do these things work in full auto mode for this?... If its below set temp it starts in heat mode, then lights on, got to 92 after a while hadn't switched to cool so I just shut it down. Figured these things probably can't switch as fast as the lights heat the room. T stat on the wall might help though.

You'll have to look into that but I'm pretty sure you have to manually switch it to heat mode wither via remote or with a thermostat controller on the wall. Not sure it will auto switch by itself. Check and see if they have an auto-switch thermostat that is compatible with it.

Most of the mini spits do not have an auto cool and heat function. 90% of them can also NOT be plugged into a normal thermostat without buying a new circuit board. I looked into it forever for mine.

Let us know what they say though. I am looking at picking up two new 24k units soon.

Thx for the input. I paid more for this one for heat option. Takes too long to cycle... By the time it cycles from heat to cool the high temp shut down has already shut lights down...oh well heat would rarely be used anyway. Found out that the remote has the only t-stat. The other is just a probe to test return air. So I left the remote on the 55 gal drum just outside bloom room causing it to keep running. Still looking into remote t-stat though...
