sleeping or dying?

my brother just gave me a plant five days ago it's about 27 inches tall it smells like chronic an on the fourth day it looks like it's sleeping but i'm not sure because i'v had my plant light on it almost 16 hours a day an even when it's in light it looks like it's sleeping i gave it the correct amount of water it says i'v read up on how to water a plant an this is the first time i'v atempted growing i'm just asking for some advice on what is going on

couldnt tell u without pics. what stage is the plant in? im guessing flowering if its 27 inch tall.

ur light should only be on for 12 hours a day and 12 off for a start.

ok i put up a picture

if thats tin foil then take that shit out. it will burn ur plant.

also, looks like its lacking food or root expansion.

i cant really tell from the pic but if it was me id check the roots at the bottom of the pot and maybe transplant it and then water it first off and then give it some nutes a few days later if its recovered.
