Skinny stem

its been 2 weeks and my stem is propa skinny , i know im not doin things right, but im tryin to keep it alive, im not givin it propa light aswell,

hmm....try using something to hold, and tie the plant up and keep a fan blowing on it...it should gain strength and take off in no time!!

as close as possible, correct lighting makes big fat stems. and a breeze helps too.

at 2 weeks its going to very thick anyway, like email said get fan to blow every now and then on the plants they will soon thinken up, i used to just bend the stem twice aday from side to side but you have to be careful.

what i'm saying is a fan helps but the right light, properly placed is the real key to nice fat stems - at least in my limited experience.

all the above elements come into play, yes by the lights being at the optimum distance from the plant the strech of the plant will be reduced and the stem would thinken.
but as we all know not everybody will use the lights properly and a oc fan or pc fan can help to thicken the stems. i oc fan is not nessery if the ventilation is adiqut in the grow room. sorry for the spelling its not great.

i think we are saying the same thing (breeze/fan helps and a quality properly placed light is very important) and don't be so sure i know more than you do!

You guys are right on.. Gentle fan to beef up the stems and plenty of light to stop the stretch. Bingo.....

i think it works for everyone
