Skinny Sativas

IMG_3923.jpgHi There - I am growing outdoors for the second year running after a very successful first year i thought i would change tactics. I decided to plant my sativa seeds in a pot and leave to germinate indoors and put them on the windowsill during the day. What i have noticed is that they are all growing thing and gangly and because of the wind the stalks have buckled on some and i had to lose them. The last one i have now (before planting some more) is tallish but i get the feeling its dead because the leaves are starting curl and the stalk feels quite dry. I attach the pic tho its not great quality but comments if any would be welcome . Would people agree that its best to just leave them outside , protected a little from the wind as soon as they burst out the soil? I didnt have this issue last year when i left them outside to their own devices......I live in Italy so the climate is getting hot now.

Its not the wind. Wind will make them stronger. They're "stretching" due to not enough light. Thats why its tall and thin. Re-bury it with dirt right up to the bottom node, and let it get full on sun. The window sill is not good enough.
