Skin Cancer

What is the consensus on whether Cannabis oil is useful for skin cancer? Just wondering everyone's thoughts on it's usefulness for this issue.
Experience first or second hand perhaps???

Is a tincture helpful like oil would be?

Hey Hippy, I have direct experience with the same oil I make caps with (coconut oil). My GF has a rare form of skin cancer which won't kill her but they can't treat with traditional meds. Her only choice before we started using oil was to go about once or twice a year and get spots surgically removed. Of course, they'd always miss a margin and 6-12 months later it would be back in the same spot.

So a couple of years ago I was making a batch of my coconut oil pills and put some remaining oil on parchment paper in the fridge and asked her to try it daily on a spot she was going to need surgically removed (it was a bad one, she definitely would have had to go get it removed). Low and behold, within a few weeks the spot was gone, gone, no trace, hasn't come back since that application. She's put it on a few smaller spots that popped up since and same results, she hasn't had to go for surgery for the last couple of years. It uses dry sift, coconut oil and soy lecithin (for ingestion) so it can be safely used orally or topically. It's decarbed and baked a couple of times for ingestion, not necessary maybe for topical use but that's the only way I've tried it and it works, at least on her version. Definitely worth a try, and unlike pharma meds, no side-effects :)

A good friend took basal cell carcinoma off his nose in five weeks applying oil daily under a band aide... he used the plastic side.
In five weeks it was gone. I have a video of it as well but he won't let me post it and I can't blame him any.
The truth is... if someone wants this...they do this... no one telling them to do it is going to help any.
Offering the info is all you can do.

Here's the recipe I use for my caps for anyone who wants to try it. Nothing special, all natural ingredients, easy to make and works. My GF uses it on any spots that look suspect and it literally removes the spots with regular application, the Band-Aid @gb123 mentions is a good choice for spots where it may tend to rub off. I'd recommend 100mg concentration or higher which is what we've used to treat hers.

Duh, @The Hippy reminded me I'm a techie and sometimes assume that everyone has all the latest tech. Here's the same recipe in .pdf format for anyone who doesn't use Word or have anything that can open that format - lol.

My wife took off a basal cell carcinoma in two weeks with daily topical application of naptha extracted hemp oil (old RSO recipe some years back, fully decarbed, I know about cleaner methods now but hope to learn more). So I know there is something to it.

However, when we were later told she had a melanoma spot, we didn't even think about using the oil. Straight to removal because it was still very small and easy to remove. Nice to know we had oil as a backup plan but hard to imagine having the guts to go with it as a first option.

I had two jars of canna coconut oil given to me by a friends wife. She said it could be used orally or topically, so far I've only used it on my hands for my arthritis, but it seems to help.
After taking my dog to the vet yesterday and hearing she may have bone cancer, I am going to start mixing a spoon full into her food. I'm not sure if it will help, but it sure can't hurt. It'll probably do more good than the $200 worth of pills they sold me for her. Poor girl is 12 years old, has arthritic hips and is going blind...but she's my best friend so I'm going to at least try. Anyone else here with experience treating their dogs with cannabis?

ive used it with positive results. right now i have a second follow up dermatologist visit coming up here very shortly. initial surgery I had two basal cells removed from my chest, on my back I had a superficial spot that was close to an inch in diameter and they wanted to use a radiation cream. long story short, i didnt use the radiation cream they suggested and I started a daily topical routine with canna coconut oil, and on my first follow up, she remarked how well the spot was reacting to the cream. she said keep it up, and it should clear up after completion. I still have the full box of the cream i intend to bring in this next visit and let her know how I dealt with it myself, especially after seeing the side effects of the radiation cream treatment. mmj just became legal here, so itll be interesting to hear her thoughts. :leaf:

edit-cream is $800 a box if i didnt have insurance. more than 4x the amount it cost me to make canna oil(had i bought the cannabis)

It is easy to overdose a dog so it actually could hurt (panic attack like symptoms with your dog freaking out and looking miserable). You should determine the potency first and identify a safe level for your pet.

I know someone using that radiation cream and he won't try my oil even though that cream is burning the shit out of his skin. Sounds like it's working for you, much better than the radiation cream if it works for your cancer. imo it'll work for any form of cancer in the right format and concentration.

Good point. It's hard to determine potency though, it won't affect me the way it will the dog. I'm just fishing for ideas cause I can't afford the thousands of dollars they charge for treatment, if there is any.

I think it could definitely help, at least it did for one of our dogs in a hospice type situation. She was far more relaxed and peaceful and able to stop taking some other opiates that left her with other side effects. Sorry for the situation, I hope you can keep her comfortable.

I know there is dosage info out there for dogs, I just can't remember where I found it. Too many years ago now. It certainly would not hurt to ask your vet for information.

That cream is some nasty shit. They try and pass it off like it's no big deal. Most end up with an infection it gets so bad.

hopefully your friend will come around after using whatever they give him, if it doesnt do its job. if not oil, maybe he'd be up for juicing leaves. I'm 33 and wast told I'd be getting something regularly checked out if i continue to work outdoors. so juicing leaves has become a daily thing. I swear it's already helped me sleep, beyond just regular smoking.

I'm going to ask for the pics they took when they did the measurements for before and after pic. then plan on making my first thread. think itd be a good one. :leaf:
