Cursed with a small grow space?
Very little cash for supplies?

Read on..

Been using this setup all year, on my fourth successful grow. Won't work for everyone, but i hate to see people spending way too much for simple growing like this. Hopefully some of you see some value in this post, (i know it's not for everyone).

Lights: Fixture/ballast $17.95
24" 40 watt flourescent bulbs (x2) $34.00 (Back in 2006)

Soil: Free (friends backyard soil)

Pot: $6.99 http://www.starnursery.com/show_details.php?root=10&sub1=108&product=1652

Timer: Free (friend gave it to me)

Aquaglobe: Free (friend gave me one when he bought his three pack)

Seeds: Free from friends or ordered online (up to you on your budget really).

Water: From the tap (very little $$)

looks good but i have a few questions. how tall are those flowering plants and what are they? also do you grow 12/12 from seed? and you said that this is your fourth time so what were your yeilds on the first ones?

Those plants were germed and vegged and given to a friend, they were grown to about 2 and a half feet before turning all male : (

Normally it's 18/6 for me while vegging until they reach the desired height, (which has to be short for me due to small growspace).

Yields were between an eighth to a quarter for harvest, (just small amounts for personal use).

nice this is something that im tryin to get going now nothing to big just so i can have some nice homegrown shit everyonce and a while.

check out my thread if u wanna see how to grow on a budget. ive never used the tube flourecents, just the cfls. gotta love those homegrown nuggets tho.

Quick question, do most head shops have what I would need to get started growing inside? I've found a couple of places, but I'm not sure if growing is their specialty.

Pretty sure you can find the lights, ballasts, pots, soil, and timer, at Home Depot like stores.
Perhaps a star nursery or local nursery can help too.
