has anyone seem or used this?

SolarMAX 1 HID reflector from 4 hydroponics.com by Growco Indoor Garden Supply

I have read a lot about lights and think that I have gained a good understanding of what is important....wavelength, photoperiod, heat, etc. but still trying to make sense of all the options. What really is the simplest and most effective lighting?

The simplest most effective light would be sun light.....and agree with WM that´s a bad ass looking 1kw bulb getting some plants under that, u wont regret the electricity bill for sure...

Yeah, I've never seen one of those either. But the lumens amount on that page must be wrong. I use a 1kw Hortilux and it has about 150,000 lumens.

That SolarMax is listed as having 100,000. But my chart says the SolarMax 400w MH puts out 32,000 and the SolarMax 600 HPS puts out 98,000 when used separately. Do you really lose all that by combining them?
