Silica question

How much silica per gallon of water (or any means of measurement) do any of you silica users apply to your hydro applications, whether Flood, DWC or Aero, let me know.

None here, I thought you only needed it if you have temp problems or whatnot.

Quoted from Silica blast bottle from Botanicare:

"Silicate helps strengthen plant tissue helping plants flourish in adverse environmental conditions such as heat, drought, and frost."

I don't think it is needed.

It also says 5 - 15 ml per gallon.
