ooopps (Dehumidifiers gotta stop posting after medicating).Yeah I know no such thing. However there has to be a quieter one than what I have a 30 pint Solarus. It runs at 41db which is not good enough. Anyone know of a unit that is silent-ish...?

Yep it is a good one as I am pretty sure this is the one I have but under a different name. I like it just for my application it is to loud even on low. Even hung by bungee cords. I went with a Invation as it has no compressor. Some new technology thingy, supposed to be silent, $120.00. We will see, I will advise. Mine will end up in the basement and replace the one I have down there which sounds like a jet engine. But works really well!

It's actually old tech, thermoelectric/peltier, and it's inefficient. Most of those little dehumidifiers don't do much. But please let us know how it works!

One of the smaller compressor types I've found. It's also the Invation brand.

Here's a recent thread I started, https://www.rollitup.org/t/small-quiet-dehumidifier-for-small-tent.968240/#post-14319953.

BTW, I remember someone posting about replacing a noisy dehu. fan with something like a large PC fan.

Yep that's what it is called. I will let you all know. It only removes 3.5 pints per day but my veg area is only 225 cubic feet. So even if it does not do much, it does not have much to do. My concern is noise, if I have to double them up to get the job done silently, no problem. I think in veg one will do ok. Bloomopolis is a little bigger 350 cubic feet so we will see.

OK so I purchased two of these small thermoelectric/peltier dehumidifiers one for Veg. one for Bloom to lower my noise level. In Veg it works fabulously and is much quieter than the one I currently use. 225 cu. feet with 6 up to 16" plants and 6 seedlings at any given time. This time of the year on the island stupid humid.

In bloom I have not even bothered to plug the unit it in yet. It would not stand a chance this time of the year. 21ish - 16" to 48" plants in 3 stages of bloom, 350 cubic feet. Maybe in 3 - 4 months or so I can get use out of it when the humidity drops but right now still forced to use ole noisy.

No link but it's an Ivation. I get a about a quart per day in Veg. My ole noisy soleus pulls a couple gallons per day in bloom.
