Shroom Supply Kit and Questions

Well, I posted this over at shroomery, where (of course) I got in trouble for mentioning the supplier and I said "shroom". After that nobody responded. I hate that place!

Anyway, I'm just hoping someone here can provide a little guidance.

I have 2 rye berry bags colonized and ready to go. These came sterile from a kit from shroomsupply.com. I also just received my sterile compost bags from them. The directions say to mix the colonized bags and the compost into the bags they provided, and grow the mushrooms in the bag, misting, fanning, etc.

My question is- would I be better off mixing the rye berry and the compost in a tub of some type instead of using the bags? I have done the BRF method a few times, using a SFC tub with varied success. I am looking online to see if I can find a tek, but so far have failed. Anyone?

I would suggest that you take it to a monotub

Shroomery has a lot of knowledge but they hate nubes they wont help you

Do you have a tek that you have used? In your opinion, will it make much of a difference? Thanks for the reply!

I believe that you would get better flushes in a monotub than a bag

Yeah Willy Myco has a mini monotub tek. 1lb Rye berry to 2lbs manure. Are your bags fully colonized? If so how long did it take?
