A web developer asked men to send her pictures of their genitals in order to build a filter that ‘recognises’ a penis and blurs it. Which raises the question: why haven’t tech companies taken this on yet?

This is not a joke.

I am testing a filter that is under development which will automatically detect dick pics in DMs and handle them on behalf of the user (delete, delete&block).

Machine vision algorithm, cool find. My son's, during his undergraduate, was recognizing cars in an intersection (red light cameras).

Yep. Gonna dress my dick up as a vampire and caption it "someone came here for a little sucky sucky".

They're trying to take dick pics off the internet, but we need to send more dick pics for it to work properly.

I could see great utility in combining the algorithms. The ability to do a real-time detection of which cars are being driven by dicks is something I’d like to use
