Should soil be wet before putting in pots?

I plan on mixing some FFOF with Pro-Mix BX w/mycorise and adding perlite. I was wondering if I should water the mix before or after I put it in the pot. How wet should it be if I'm supposed to do it before? Should I do a little of before and after? How wet should the soil be in the pot if I am putting germinated seeds in it? How compacted should the soil be in the pots? Should I overfill the pots to compensate for volume lost after watering? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1. Soil should be moist, not wet.
2. Germinate seeds BEFORE planting them.
3. Leave the soil loose and don't press it down to compact it. When you water, the soil will settle and still have some air to breathe.
4. No need to overfill the pots.
5. When the root peaks out of the seed, place it in the moist soil. Make sure to keep the soil moist. NEVER wet.

GOOD LUCK, I hope this helps.

Thanks. The seeds are germinated. 30 NL from marijuana-seeds.nl. I am going to plant them today. I am thinking about starting a grow journal.

You really should start a grow journal. It's so great to be able to look back and see how you ended up with fat colas. I look back and see the tiny plants that transformed into bud. It's awesome. also, you can ask people questions and they will know the history.

Point is, grow journals are awesome.
