no, you won't stress them. Just go gentle on them. Have you noticed that growth has slowed? if so transplant when your is dry (easier to do) then sit the pots in water, so the roots stretch downward towards the water, this shouldn't cause much stress to your plants at all

No its the complete opposite. Transplant a half a day after a nice watering. This will allow you to take your plant out the pot easier...I've done it both ways and the latter seems easiest. To each his own...lol

mmmh im goin with tan22 EVERYTHING i've heard is dont water for about2 days let your plant suck up the water that in there and then transplant when dont water your plants

Thanks for all the help everyone, will try both ways as im going to be transplating 2 times, will see which way works best for me.

I was planing to use a 3 gallon for my final pot size, I was going to transplant them into 1 gallons first then go with the 3. If i transplant them into a 3 gallon now wont it be much harder/take longer for the roots to suck up all that water/food???

not from what im seeing ... i water with a lesser amount , but a little more frequently.
im thinking this will give the roots more 02 and encourage roots to go searching for water
