Should I Top?

I'm having 12 clones vegging in a 3x3 tray ebb & flow hydroponic system (4 Sno Cap, 8 c4). I've got them under a 1000w MH lamp in a Hydrohut. I was planning on topping them because I can only let the plants grow to about 3 feet in height. I want the plants to be big, so I figure topping is the way to go. Should I do this or not? Are any techniques easier/more effective than others? It will be my first grow so any input is helpful. Thanks.

yea im pretty sure you snip the main root thats at the very top of the plant this is to give you more bud im pretty sure, but now that your flowering you ahve to switch to an HPS bulb.

There are numerous resources on site here to assist in the determination of which precise topping technique to employ on your little plants!
The scenario described in your post seems to indicate topping as the best bet to optimize your yield of fabulous buds!

yeah, you need topping. And as wavels said, there are better sources here than me. But I do know you're supposed to top early in flowering...as in the first two weeks of flowering.

I'm not flowering yet, I'm gonna veg them for a while, get them nice and big.
