okay so a month ago I did two plants and they were my first ever 2 to this current date they are looking ill and very small

a week after I started those 2 I started 3 more and these 3 are doing extremely well

I think the first two the lights were very close to them which screwed everything up (they are about a 6th of the size compared the the week younger ones)

should I just scrap them and do two more seeds in their place or will they eventuall grow big as well (im new but my guess would be they havent got a chance in growing as big considering they are a week older and a 6th of the size)

added the pictures, used a thermometre so you can compare the sizes better :-)

My plants less than 3 weeks in a 8 gallon trash can, if they dont look this good then just use miracle gro like me or buying 2 4ft 2 bulb fluorescent fixtures 15 bucks each also at walmart with a 6500k and 7800 to 8000k bulbs. I believe the 7800k bulbs just say Aqua plant light.

my first grow I wanted to scrap and sart over was using terms like room of death and toarcher chamber to refer to grow room, wife said not to trash them so we continued and cioned the name kali9lives for kali-mist we had so many things go wrong that i couldnt list them all but 7 plants 3/4lbs ea. and more knowlage than collage was worth all the grief so my advice is( never give up on a plant!) in fact they will do fine dispite our efforts to fuck it up good luck plants dont need to be perfect they need to be plants. Im just a newbi so keep that in mind. good luck

Hey if they've broke soil, give them a chance to live!

Im sure they'll be just fine.. But just as a back up, why dont you start 2 more.. Who knows you might end up with a beautiful lil family

There has to be a reason they are growing so slow. Now that we know u are keeping them lets figure out why they are hurting still...
Even if the light was too close, that stress is over and they should be taking off by now. Here is a quick list of some things that may change growth rate.

The soil may be leached of all its nutes and they may need food
They have been watered with too much tap water and need the salts flushed out and a PH adjustment
They may just need a PH adjustment
They may have been overwatered at some point and gotten root rot.

That was Just to get some ideas flowing, u need to find out what is different with these plants from the growing ones. Think of any, let us kno, even the slightest difference can change a whole grow.. .

The soil may be leached of all its nutes and they may need food <- there is a slight chance this could be it

They have been watered with too much tap water and need the salts flushed out and a PH adjustment <- all were watered with the same water with the exact same ph (I have ph down but I dont use it anymore because even after I use it the ph goes up again, I also let the water air for 2 - 6 days before watering)

They may just need a PH adjustment <- the ph of the soil is 7 in all pots

They may have been overwatered at some point and gotten root rot. <- This is also likely, how do I check this?
