Ok so i have a homemade carbon filter,works like a charm plugged it in today and the smell disapeared instantly,my quesiton is do i leave it on 24/7 or just when lights are on?im currently at day 4 of flowering
Should i leave my Carbon Filter fan on 24/7?

Do you recirculate the filtered air or do you exhaust it outside of the room?
Nice going so far, these girls will get so much bigger within the next week, it's amazing.

i recirculate it,i grow in a closet with constant fresh air intake and bad air exhaust,its pretty good right now.

Nice, I just ordered the HTG carbon/fan combo, should have it on Friday. So you're saying the smell was gone instantly on a home made filter huh? Fantastic, I can't wait to put my own in then as the smell is getting a bit concerning out of my 3 and 4 week old ladies.

lol yea it disapeared right away,it was pretty strong i could smell it in the other room for a bit,then i turned it on and litearlly i can be next to eh plants and get no smell at all!!!.yea the HTG fan is what iw as gonna use but we found a similar fan at Menards for cheaper

If you are venting you need to be filtering the air, if not it should still cycle on for 15 minutes or more an hour to scrub the air. Most of us leave them on 24/7 everyone has there own reasons why or why not.

right now they probably only smell when the light is on, but in a month or so you will need to run it all the time.

mine smelled more when the light was off to be honest.When i opned the closet after te babies sleep it smacks me in teh face and im like who killed a skunk,thats when it smelled througout the house lol

yea i found that too... I have an auto that smells kinda sweet when lights on and you cant even really smell that then... But when i cut the light on first thing it had a skunky smell to it.
The reason why someone would smell worse during day would be because the temps getting too high in the cab then. The hotter the cab is the louder the plant.
