Should I harvest my plant? (Lemon Skunk) +rep for help

I got a lemon skunk in coco\perlite and it seems pretty ripe although only 7 weeks (and 1 day) have passed since the 12\12 flip.

I've checked the trichomes and they are 5% clear, 60%milky, 33% amber and 2% black.

The pistils have gone back into the calixes and it seems pretty swolen.

However, the strain is rated at 9 weeks and another week for extra-taste.
Mine only went through 7 weeks.

Either way, I can't cut it right now. I still need to flush it.
How do I flush a coco\perlite plant? (for how long and with how much water?)

Thanks in advance ;D

hey dude,

plant looks good but not quite ready, i would say take it to the 9 week mark and start flush now. lets say you have a one gallon pot, flush it with 3 gallons of water each time you water until a few days before harvest. hope that helps.

peace bro

I will let it go a bit more.
We will see how it will turn out in the next few days.

I use a 7L container (almost 2galons), so I'll use around 6 galons of water.

although coco plants mature faster, this one still isnt done. flush it now or within the next week. then water for a week straight and youll be straight
Thanks :D

few more days then flush i would go with or get yurself a microscope and check the trichs

check my grow journal and tell me wot u think bro

I will let it go another few days and see what happens.

I got a microscope.

Your plants looks good :D

i'd wait, 3-4 weeks
I already have a few black trichomes.
4 weeks seems way too much for me.

your trichs will tell you when to cut. I am interested cause I have a lemon haze going as well and yours looks awesome nice job

I've checked the trichomes. By them I would harvest in a week.
However, i've read that there are other points to take into consideration like pistils color and how they get back into the calixes.

A Lemon Haze should look pretty different when done. The Lemon Skunk is mainly Indica, while the Lemon Haze is mainly sativa.
Grew Arjan's Haze #2 (Greenhouse Seeds) and Sugar Haze (seedsman or something like that. Crappy strain) and it looked a lot different.

Decided what to do:
I gave it just now overfeeding of P and K (2.5ml when the top is 1.5ml. It got 1.75 for the last week) to let the buds swell a bit even if it burns the leaves slightly.
on Sunday it will get the same feeding and on tuesday it will be flushed. Then on the next 6 days it will get flushed every 2 days, then 4 days of no watering and chop chop.

I believe it is best to wait until they are done and glowing.

However, if you already have 25% Amber or better on your Trichs, you could cut soon and it will continue to ripen up well, during a good seven to ten day dry and then to the jars for further ripening as just like any fruit; " pick it a little early and put it in a box or paper bag and leave it in the dark.....they ripen up more.

However, if you can stand to wait until it is completely done on the Tree itself, all the better for you and your fruit.

At seven weeks, sounds like you got a good Pheno of this Strain, for it to have matured that quick in the Trichs perhaps anyway?

If I got 25% amber in seven weeks from my particular strains....I'd be tickled,LOL.

Be Blessed,

show some finished pictures after! hope it smoeks nice for ya
I will try to remember doing so :D
I usually do.
But it will probably be on my journal, which can be found in my signature.

I plan on drying for 5 days. That usually does the trick.
I need to sell some as soon as possible and the rest will be jared.
I don't intend to cut early.

My mother plant died in soil with no obvious reason. So I don't like my pheno all that much.
In coco it thrives.

I really love its smell. A week ago it was pure lemon candy smell. Now its more skunky, but still distinct lemon smell.

It did mature pretty fast. I got a blue mystic by nirvana that is listed at the same harvest window that is in the same medium with pretty much the same conditions and it is around a week and a half slower. (but I really dig its fox tailing)
Guess my pheno is pretty quick.

Thanks for participating :D

Hey what's up big dog,

I know It's not from the same breeder, but my DNA Lemon Skunks put on a second burst of new growth around week 8. It very much resembles the pheno you have. After the first wave of hairs red and recede, new hairs appear and a new stage of growth continues for about a week and a half.

Of course we are not in the same media (I'm rockwool/ RDWC), but I'm not postitive that would influence the strains maturaty rate one way, or another.

...anyway, just my 2 cents on this strain. ..I run them at around 800-900 PPM for the last 2 weeks, then flush another week and a half. 10 1/2 weeks approximately total.

you need to go to the cooc gorwer thread and see how to flush these properly coco is finished flushed very different then soil it close to the above post they will die if flushed too long and at 0 ppm the coco has 0 nutes can not support the plant without nutes in the water, hope im not to late
