I want to start a grow room in my closet, but i thought this would be a better idea.


It comes with everything, fully functional. It seems like a really good deal to me.

what do you guys think? should i get this, or should i try to set up my own grow space in my closet?

yea thats what i was planning on doing if i got it. The reason i dont want to just set up my closet as the grow space is because it more open, and i have to be very very very cautious about the smell, and also just because it will be more work on me having to buy everything individually and set it up.

Yea I know there are alot cheaper ways to set up, but I am so god damn lazy lol

Seriously 2000 bucks of diy will get you loads farther and if you have room in a closet or guest bathroom doooo that! Safety First, the first rule of fight club is you dont talk about fight club. Also they held it in the basement so no one could see them either. I dont have a spare closet so i have to give excuses about why i cant/dont show people what is in my hydro garden, and that is a pain in the ass.

I mean $500 will buy you a fucking awesome light setup, my suggestion is a magnetic ballast and ceramic metal halides, one bulb to grow them all, and your other misc hydro equipment will cost you 200 tops. If you want to blow an extra 1200 you can just send it to me. Or better yet go buy some of the doggies nuts seeds from attitude seed bank.

The only place I can grow in is in the closet in my room. Its about 4x7 and about 8 ft tall.

so does everyone pretty much agreee i should invest in this? Or would it be stupid to get something so large for small needs.

I wouldnt buy that pre made setup.
first off if you are concerned that cops would be looking for people buying hydro gear for nefarious activities what would catch you eye more someone buying a light set or the whole kit and caboodle.

Secondly it is ridiculously easy to put one together. Videos on grow room set up are only 10-15 min long for a reason.
Honestly if you buy a good light set up and follow rosemans bubleponic guide( https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/234626-rosemans-diy-bubbleponics-tutorial.html ) you can have a fucking awesome grow in that closet for the total time cost of a weekend. and i am guessing that you will still have to put most of that together yourself anyways , your 4x7x8 space is twice as large as mine which means heat will be less of an issue. Also if you diy your set up you will know it better than if you buy a premade rig because lets face it you cant send off an email to a company saying "I am having problems using your system to grow marijuana", its just not going to happen. yes it will be a bit more work but there are soooo many people who can help you build an awesome system for easily under $500

for a closet all you need to make a good hydro garden
you need to get some black/white poly (or mylar) enough to enclose the closet
you need to get a ballast
a bulb
a cooltube
hoses that fit your cooltube
an inline blower that fits the hose
you then need the stuff for your "hydro tubs"
for your space i think rosemans 5 gal buckets would be cool, but you could go with the rough neck tubs
basicly the stuff you will need is
a resivoir
an air pump
a small water pump
airstones
tubes
a water manifold from a drip irrigation system(sold at every hardware store with garden stuff)
nutes

some fans to keep air moving
and something to get rid of the smell

if you want a super space age grow that would fit into that space easily and yield an ass load look up vertical growing.

you could hang your bulb vertically using the 5 gal buckets to create a circle... that would rock.

any ways, i say save your money build the setup to fit your situation instead of fitting the situation to your setup...

I think I will just do it myself, and originally I wasnt planning to do hydroponics, I was just going to soil them. Do you think going the hydro way is better?

also if you are just trying to grow a little bit you can use the left over space in the grow closet to grow stuff like strawberries, tomatoes, peas, beans... food. especially with a bucket vert grow because different plants need different nutes. or you if you dont smoke a lot you could get a 150w or 250w hps and grow in a 2x2 space using only a small portion of your closet

it is easier for the lazy man get your self some good meters ph and ec/tds. Check on them every day or every other day adjust be patient and in time you will have good stuff. Also you can really fine tune the nute blend for your strains and conditions they grow faster and you dont waste space with loads of dirt. If you like to go on weekend trips you dont have to tell someone to water your plants. i think it is just better, once you have learned what you are doing it is as simple as dirt, and better for indoors.

Now i need to start getting all my supplies, get good seeds and start this wonderfull process

yeah i would give you this piece of advice start with bag seed as if you kill it it doesnt hurt that much, however when they are all guys you just get pissed off. ture story.

so if you are going to buy seeds start with some decent, cheap, feminized seeds in the $30-40 per 5 that way you will get at least something to smoke.
