wat strain u growin?
u could do either.
check out some pc box grows n read em up, thatl give u an idea of strains and ways to grow with very limited space.just search for em at top.

you could always LST your plants to get more bud for less height.
with that little space, i'd suggest trying it 12/12 first, and see what it does for you, and if you think you can get away with bigger, veg them for maybe 2 weeks or whatnot.
you could also choose a low growing strain, such as Dinafem's California Hash, that is a low but bushy plant

I suppose you could veg them until they are about 4 nodes high, then crop them for short, bushy growth

if you are only using low watt small lights i reckon your ok to veg a little , you can give it some lst. my box is only 3ft tall and i got 2x 70 watt hps and 2 200 watt enviros in there no probs and i veg for 4-5 weeks
