ok this is my first grow. i have kind of fucked up a long the way but slowly learning as i go but anyways this is what i am using

i got 3 plants almost 3 weeks old (they r very small for this age)
2 26 watt daylight cfls on each using 18/6 cucle
using mg organic soil
i have only used nutes once(30-10-10 mg)
ph level of soil is seven the water im using is 7 too.

well anways i was using them in jiffy cups and didnt cut a hole in the bottom so the leaves started turning yellow and i guess i was overwatering too and prob thats y they r yellow. so i just transplanted all 3 plants in big potts . i havent watered them in 2 days and plan on not doing it again till the soil is really dry. it looks like they r coming back and the 2nd pair of leaves r coming out in full so it looks as if the plant is making a comeback. BUT my question is should i trim off the yellow tips on the first sef off leaves OR should i leave them be??? ANSWER PLZ!

If you can gently tug them and they come off go for it. I tend to believe that if they are firmly attached leave them alone.

I am sure there are many other opinions out there and alot more experience but that is what I do.

Your ph is to high it needs to be around 5-6 I perfer 5.85 Thats your problem

leave them, I say. You have already shocked the shit out of them with transplanting and giving ferts before 3 weeks. good luck, hope they make it.

I grow in about 6.5 - 6.8 ph soil and although I am no growing guru, it has always worked great for me. I think your nutes/mg soil was part of your problem. But it sounds like you have your issues straighten out and are starting to do better. Good job
