I germed some seeds a few days back and i put them in rockwool and i was wondering if i should turn on the light or let them be in the dark, they're in the dark as of now.

dark, but if they're under cover they're fine. the important part is that light doesn't hit the exposed taproot.

They're in the dark nothings covering them but the tap root isn't showing it's covered by rockwool, but not alot. how long before they should sprout?:peace:

I put my seeds in a wet paper towel and placed it on a plate with just enough water to leave a small puddle. the very next day i put them in my rockwool cubes under the light i have 2 4200 lumen cfls and i run them 18\6 every day and i spray with ph water (5.5\5.75) when they seem dry but only then not jut to spray them

put them in the dark. don't even bother having a light on in the room. it will take anywhere from 1-14 days for them to sprout.

totally depends. hours to days. make sure if you have them in rockwool plugs that they are in the correct orientation for transplanting (right-side-up) as the root will emerge downward. The other important thing is to make sure the wool is snug around the seed so the seed will not eject itself.

yeah certain strains are a little more reluctant than others. my seeds cracked within 48 hours but it was a good 8 days before i planted them..

Ok, Theres one that's standing out of the rockwool about 3-5mm and one that's barley out i'd say barley 1mm and the other hasn't poked out yet. i was wondering when i'm going to need to turn the light on? thanks:peace:

no, it's fine, i was just having you leave it off until then cause there's no need to waste energy when it's not needed. but go ahead and leave them all together.
