Shocking Yield Increase by Broken Main Stem

Hi
I would like to share my experience of yield increase with one of my indica plants which was broken badly near to her flowering stage.
The main stem of the plant was broken by wind and almost fall apart. What I did was that I stood the upper part of stem by leaning to a rigid stand using black electric tape, so I did not let any movement occurring in broken part. I thought she may die but she did not, amazingly she built stronger stem right between divided parts of main stem. Now she is the king of 6 others and it's yield is more than my 3 unwound-ed plants:roll: besides that she is at least 2 weeks maturer than others and most importantly her potent is amazing.;-)

I've read about stressing techniques, and that is the result, usually. In Africa, the way is to use thorns. They begin stabbing in, and leaving thorns in the main branches. Pinhead by harvest time.

I had a major downpour that broke several main branches on some of my plants then a week later we had a a 2 day wind storm which resulted in more damage. I tied up all the branches that I thought had a chance to survive, and they all survived. This was during flowering. Those plants that were damaged produced way more than all my un-damaged plants. I guess there might be something to this stress thing producing more vigorous growth.

I've seen it happen as well where a cracked branch will produce really well. I believe this where supercropping comes from.

Fixed your thread title - I just couldn't take the shoking part much longer.

Welcome to RIU.
