I second the pea gravel recommendation, super cheap and I assume since it is a rock you’re getting some sort of mineral bonus over time from it. Being on the east coast pumice is way to expensive for me to use.
Dude seriously, the shipping for pumice is double the price, I end up paying $42 for a cubic foot from KISorganics. I’m going to hit up some places tomorrow.

look for crushed scoria (red lava rock). that should be super cheap. the only thing i dont like about pea gravel is that its not porous, which means its dense, and won't provide environments for microbes to live or lighten up your mix. plus its likely got a very low CEC value (i'm making an assumption), whereas pumice and scoria both have great CEC.

Expanded shale. Though Im not sure its considered organic, something to do with it beinf a kiln fired product. I have been looking for pumice so I can give it a try.

Took this glue down today @ 9 weeks exactly. Nice lookin stuff considering my bulbs are old AF. Replaced one this weekend, the other two next weekend. I don't even know how many hours are on these things but It's a lot.

The shangri-la turned out incredible. Way nicer than I remember the first time around quite a few months ago. Just a beauty! Top shelf water only flowers.

Who needs to press flowers when the trim yields 12%??? I bet this shangri-la would make insane full melt bubble. I decided to press it for shits and giggles. These are mediocre plates at best too. Really want to get a Low Temp Plates set up on a 10 ton with a pressure gauge. This set up I used has no pressure gauge and is 20 ton on 2.5"x4" plates... less than ideal. Can't image the difference on a proper set up.

This product looks pretty legit. Gonna look into it a bit more, but very well could increase microbial diversity of indoor soils. and I'm not one to go out and pick up a microbial inoculant other than myko products.

I'm gonna be looking for some research regarding increase terpene expression correlated with microbial mutualism. I'll report back on this when I find something.
did you ever find anything more out about this?

Thanks man!

So proud of this canopy... my best one with the wreck ever. These were grown under a 2 yr old bulb 600hps, sharing the footprint with 2 other plants for 6 weeks lol. If I would have had a fresh bulb and no sharing of the footprint... pretty sure I would have been near a yield/light personal record. Oh yeah these are in 5 gal plastics too... if I had them in 10 gal fabs or 7 gal plastics in addition to those other variables... def would have been a personal record

Flower room update!

Confidential Cheese ready for a run after an absence in the garden for a bit. I friggin love this strain. Great berry/grape terps with just the slightest cheese funk after its dried. This run is looking to be a good one! Maybe the best yet. All set up with the blumats!

Brainwreck is coming down this weekend. For a super old bulb, small containers, and cold temps during the winter... this run sure did perform.

Thanks DT. pretty damn close to OP anyway. I would have loved to have seen this run with all the parameters I mentioned in proper order... but as it stands, it is not a disappointment :)
Just so rewarding when you achieve even plethora of tops like that, ideal conditions or not!!
What did you do differently, training wise..
I'm always torn between training more and less, lol.. Love seeing plants un cut, but love a row of colas.. I went thru a mainlining phase, but now I prefer a single topping, with a bit of fim / supercrop / lst to turn all arms into tops.. About a branch, or top per gallon.. Then leave a good one plant uncut so I can enjoy the natural state, haha. Great work though, man, wow..can't wait for your facil to get it poppin, gonna be a treat for the greater good ! No doubt!
