Hello everyone

Am about setting up a growroom and i was wondering of anybody know if the shiva skunk from sensiseeds with skunk #1 × nl #5 is the same as before. I grew it for 2 years ago and it was excellent but i read a thread where a guy sead it wasn't the same strain anymore
 
I've heard from a few people that both the parents were lost a few years ago. Could be crap though as I'm nowhere near Amsterdam :)
 
Both lines are rather stable, so even if the parents did change I can't imagine it would change that much. I often wonder where people get that sort of information from. I hear it all the time about breeder's strains not being the same because of lost parents, but I never see any proof to back up such claims.
 
Well, a lot of breeders admit to losing parents at some point. Which is why you sometimes hear about it. With a lot of crosses being polyhybrids in nature that can mean it can be difficult for the next batch from newer parental plants to be identical I'd bet. Especially since so many hybrids are 1:1 (not all breeders do this of course).
 
I can understand if the breeder comes out and says he changed it, but I hear this all the time about sensi and serious and I haven't personally noticed any difference in quality or heard about any changes other than kali mist.
