shit... tent doesnt quite fit

went to go set my tent up in the attic today....damn thing is a bit too big for anywhere in the attic :dunce:

.... need a couple more inches in the attic... any ideas on how to mod the tent to make it fit??? my friend was thinking to shorten the top rails to make more or a pyramid shape rather than a rectangle, and i should have the space to fit it between the rafters.... :confused:

i had the same problem m8 just brought a dr80 instead to fit im gonna sell the big 1000w tent

not really an option here..... im thinking i may be able to notch out some of my rafters/ceiling joists to make it fit.... not sure though... gotta get some tools and a helping hand over here.

you might be able to get it to fit let me know i think its a conspiracy they build attics not quite big enuff for a dr120 !!!

I wouldn't compromise the structural integrity of the attic.....got a pic of the tent?

it will be fine structurally the way im going to do it.... but i kinda wanted to avoid that... but the more i think about it, the more it seems like the only possible option... if i cut the tent frame any, then the skin will droop and not fit properly.... i'll try to take some pics in the attic.... if i can find the damn camera...

i recommend cutting the tent frame and folding over any excess material from the tent

yea an inch or 2 off the legs should not make it too baggy... Just dont cut the width..

im a carpenter i do a lot of roofs there is more than likely a couple of tone of tiles on them rafters dont cut them

im a roofer..... there is maybe 200lbs of cheap, old tin and nails on the ENTIRE house....

but regardless, i talked the wife into letting me have the extra bedroom... problem solved :mrgreen:

yeah man same problem. I'm gonna take a foot off the 4 legs then fold over the excess. No need to buy another one.
