I have some plants growing outside. My neighbor told me they saw a sheriff helicopter pass over the grow every friday at seven pm. I was doing a flush today and sure enough there they were. I have 12 plants and my father has 12. They are good size, around seven foot tall and 15-20 ft around. The law states 6 mature and 12 immature per card holder. When do they consider them mature (flower)? And does anyone know if the choppers usually do a weekly fly by before a raid. Hopefully im just paranoid, but any thoughts would be great. This is my first grow and Im hoping to get enough to last me the rest of the year.
 
if your so paranoid go down to the sheriff show them your card tell them what you have and explain that you dont do indoor and the 12 plants are basically your only medical supply, you would be amazed at how pleasant sheriffs are when you go in and respectfully ask for clarification.
 
people kept getting busted leaving my buddies house, for a while they had a cop parked at the corner randomly, then he went down to the police station and asked to speak to someone about it, and basically just complained about his friends being harassed as they leave his property, never had an issue since,

I am pretty sure a 7ft plant would be considered "Mature" be careful man. 12x 7ft plants is alot better than nothing when speaking in legal terms. ^_^ Have you considered using a friends paperwork ? Just say they are a 3rd party members plants as well. Make sure you have their paperwork for them.
 
I think the mature aspect of it refers to whether they are budding or not, could be wrong though. I highly doubt a sheriff helicopter would even acknowledge a grow like this.
 
remember the law states blank amount or a medically necessary amount, in washington if i can show need for 1,000 plants to supply me with a 1 lbs a week habbit which would be equal to like 8 lbs for my 2 month supply max, then i can have 8 lbs legally and 1000 plants, according to state law, most of the states also have this information, but if your gonna have that many plants you better have your codumentation straight and by that i mean usage diary, crop diary, all that stuff to lay down when questioned cause the first thing they will ask is if you have been consuming or dealing your shit.
 
We actually have a sheriff officer that rents part of our pasture for his goats. Im thinking about asking him, cuz he has already seen the grow before renting the pasture. Last week he asked my dad "you doing anything I should know about" then laughed it off. The sheriff here has said he will not break federal law for druggies using the cannabis card as an excuse to grow a "gateway drug". So I'll ask the one when he comes over next, Im sure if it was a real issue he probably wouldnt want his livestock on the land just for career reasons.

no no no! Not under any circumstances do you want to do this! Bad bad idea. Maybe you get a nice sheriff, maybe not. Maybe the sheriff saw your plants, maybe he didn't. Maybe he doesn't care. But if you go in to the sheriff's office and inform him, he will know for sure about them. Doing this does not help you in any way. All it does is open you up to the risk of going to jail. If you're legal in the mind of the sheriff, going in and telling him about your plants doesn't change that. If you're illegal in the mind of the sheriff, telling him will almost force him to bust you when he might have just ignored you otherwise or didn't even see your plants.

If you want to go into the sheriff's office and ask him if your shit is legal, do it at the beginning of the year before you plant them. It's much harder to get busted for hypothetical plants that don't exist yet than real plants which are in the ground right now.

Do not tell the sheriff about existing plants you have! This does not help you in any way and is extremely bad advice.
 
I hope your right and I just ended up being on their flight path somewhere else. Really didnt mean for them to take up so much space, but they exceeded my expectations
 
I'm pretty sure they are considered mature the second they show sex, it seems the purpose of the 12 immature 6 mature thing is to make it so u can plant 12 seeds and hope for a 50/50 male fem ratio and cull the male and still have 6 viable sources of medication.

Unless he doubled back for another fly over, in all likelihood you're fine. The sheriff either wasn't looking for that, didn't notice them, or just didn't care. Either way, it's a good sign if he didn't turn back to snap pictures.

If you tell them about the plants, you're basically forcing the sheriff to take action on the situation. He might just say it's fine, he might want to inspect it, or he might kick down your door, raid your house, and throw you in prison. You just don't know. There is absolutely no upside to telling him.

Next year, if you want to be sure you're legal, it's fine to ask the sheriff before you plant. Telling the sheriff after you plant, especially during flowering, is an unnecessary risk.
 
Ill have to go get a good set of binocs so I can do alittle counter recon as they come by next week, may be able to see if theyre looking my direction. They were about twenty yards east of it and almost close enough to really make out the writing and numbers on the side.
 
Think youre right dan. We dont talk about it in front of the one renting from us, try to keep all gates closed and doors closed just in case he looks that way, figure if he asked straight out I will tell him otherwise it can just be the elephant in the room

Did they stop or make a turn near your house? If not I wouldn't trip. As far as I know they take photos before they jack you.
