just got a new 250 watt CFL's and can't get a reflector until next week and was wondering if it's ok if i just leave it hanging from the lamp lead.

Just don't let it get too close to the plants, and keep your temps down and you will be golden till you get your reflector

Should be fine. I hang my 125W CFL from the lead, without a reflector.
