She just wont mature

Hello. New here. Have had several small grows over the years.

So I ordered some seeds offline of Grand Daddy Purple. Growing in 5 gallon bucket Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Using General Hydro nutes. Started under 400 watt equivalent T5 lights with explosive growth. Then switched to 300w Mars Hydro LED. Scrog method.

Im in the 10th week of flowering. When described they said 8 weeks to flower. I know now that that was just a general description. The plant did very well and exploded with huge buds that have filled in nicely. I had a problem with the ph being too low around 5.8 and got a nutrient lockout. Plant has since recovered. Still has a few brown leaves.

I have been flushing for two weeks, every water now with molasses added with a ppm of 750 coming from drain off. I switched her under a 400 watt equivalent T5 bloom bulbs so that her clones can take up the other tent.

My question is, when I scope the trichs they are still some clear and some cloudy. With a occasional amber trich. She also isnt turning purple. Night temps get down around 70. Day is 78. I just cant seem to get her to finish. HELP.

those plants look nice. i think people are going to blame that mars light. if its the "mars hydro 300w led" i found just now on amazon it only draws 130w from the wall its just called a 300w for marketing reasons. how big is your grow space? its hard to tell from the picture. maybe you just need more power.

just 2c.
General hydroponics nutes are designed for hydroponic growing but yes some have success with ffof and GH.
Over fertilization can cause a plant to take longer to finish flowering and sometimes they will not always finish very well.
Are you flushing every watering for the last two weeks?
Maybe that leached out some of the GH nutes if that was the goal but most growers don't flush soil. Some do.
Good Luck!

yes this is very possible.

I have a feeling this would he a different story under some intense LED or HPs light too.

I got to run but it doesn't look like it was caused by the light.

Some can use GH successfully with ffof but most will burn there plants.
They look fried from nutes to me.

I had her in a 2x4x6 grow tent for all her life. I did use 2 of the Mars 300 leds and recently added a 300 watt cob led. So the tent has the equivalent of 900 watts. But since my other clones recently moved into the bigger tent, I moved her into a 2x2x4 tent to finish her off. I thought maybe I was giving her too much light because I kept getting the "foxtail" that I keep hearing of. And when I noticed the the browning I couldnt tell if it was nute burn or the ph was too low. I have been flushing for 2 weeks now and the ppms are down around 700. I tried using Fox Farm nutes in the begining but seemed as tho I didnt get much action. I do grow mostly DWC and hence why I use Gh nutes. And Im used to using them. Also added Kool Bloom for two weeks. So maybe I did burn them. It happened real quick. I never have this problem with DWC.

As for the Mars 300 light, I know it doesnt draw 300 watts but they are supposed to be the equivalent. And I can tell you the lights are intense. And I keep the lights within a foot from the tops.

The photos are before I put the mother in her own tent to finish.

I agree it wasnt the lights. These plants went crazy under them. I constantly have to trim shade leaves. Chances are it was the nutes. So what next.? Is it just causing it a little longer to mature?

Yes I started flushing right away when she showed signs. It happened real quick. The ppm drainage was coming out at 1500. Now I have it down at 700. And she has actually put on more bulk since then as well.

Looks good, but yeah looks like it can still go another week or two. Some phenos can take forever and the lighting/environment can make a difference. It's a little late but won't hurt them and could speed up the final finish, drop your timer to 11/13 or 10/14.
I will try that tonight.

that's where you messed up. that stuff is super hot. and too much of P or K depending on the plant cycle is not good
Yeah I noticed the the burn shortly after I used it. Obviously I quit right away. Im definitely going to keep the General Hydro nutes for my DWC for the next ones. I need to find something else for the ones I have in soil. I find growing in soil is less forgiving than my DWC. Do you guys ever use Advanced Nutrients? Ive heard good reviews but it all looks like a marketing ploy to me. And Fox Farms I just really didnt care for

Nute burn. Keep on flushing... some phenos won't turn purple, that is just genetic diversity... seems you learned something from this grow, adjust and your next one will be better....
