LIFE CYCLE
I was on a time crunch with this run, I had to harvest a few days ago which allowed for a life cycle of roughly 4 months. This was a project that I was adding to as they were growing, this is my first serious run.
THE GROW
I started out with the tub and one air pump with (2) 14" stones and one CXA3070(~45w). I started out using General Hydroponic Organic nutes and had root issues early on and was discouraged. I changed the nutes a week prior to flipping 12/12 to General Hydroponic Flora Micro & Bloom using the Lucas formula, this immensely helped with tank maintenance and health. I added the extra powerheads and switched to two beefier air pumps, maybe it is overkill for this tub but I at least now have to parts to expand in the future. I added the UVB lamp on a different timer during the first half of the flower cycle as this was my first time using it.
THE YIELD
I waited as long as I possibly could which was ~ 9 weeks of flowering.
I had 6 plants, I had some root issues and I believe it may have effected the plant size/yield. Also the larger plants kind of overtook the tub with their roots, which really pushed the smaller plants roots to the back edges of the tub.
Cut Weights
TINY TINA
27g
Veronica Lee
59.3g
Hearty Helga
103.2g
Pretty Patty
144.7g
Sexy Svetlana
233.8g
Big Bertha
280.3g
TOTAL - 848.3g
I hung everything to dry for two days, and then cut it off the branches and placed in some bowls to dry a tad more. I then placed them in some jars and zip lock gallon storage bags. I will be putting them all in mason jars in a few days.
I weighed everything this morning and was able to start breaking buds up, so it looks like it is drying/curing nicely so far.
This was gooey and super sticky when it was chopped and for the next day or so, so once I placed them in the bowls and jars I moved them around and aerated them to ensure air exchange and no moisture builds up.
I weighed all of the pure nugs I have left over. I ended up getting 221g
which does not include shake/popcorn nugs (which I have been enjoying
)
So that is 74% reduction from cut weight to dry weight so I am anticipating not much more loss at all. Everything is super dense and did do some initial shrinking but have been holding their shape over the last night.
So with quick math 220g/245w gives me 0.9g/w for my first led run.
