Hey i have about 6 plants that i am growing under 2 4ft fluros they are about 4 inches right now. When would be a good time to sex the plants?

hummm, well, until they show sex, you can't. when i start from seed, it usually takes about a month.

I dont think you got my point i want to draw out the sex of the plant before i plant them. I dont want to put them all in the ground and find out that 3\4 of them are males. I know you can find out by changing the lights to 12\12, i just need to know at what point i should do it. How tall should they be??

Its all up to you,,, you can sex whenever you want and as early as you want,, but most like to veg depending on their grow room size (height), as they tend to triple in size when flowering.......................................

well there is a way to show sex without putting them into a flowering cycle isnt there? besides, you dont want to put your plants into a flowering cycle them bring them back out for further vegging, it screws them up

you can cut a clone off of the plant vegging then put in 12/12, this way you wont have to put your main plant in and out......................................

Like I sais,,, Its up to you to know when you want to cut clones,, Why dont you cut them when you have enough nice size (around 2 in.) stems,, only cut a couple if your plant is still kinda small, so you dont shock it so much.. did you put up any pix???....................................................................

ive had very good luck cloning after the 5th set of leaves appear ive also cloned shortly after flowering and sexing your choice(later with less sucess)
