Sex not fully determined in seed

Hey guys, Ive read somewheres on here saying that the moment a marijuana seed is created the sex is already determined inside, ( The seed knows what its going to be when it grows up). I believe that theory is false. I think that a huge amount of factors come into play as the plant grows through its lifespan. My reasoning behind this are when I am growing outdoor with seed, I can put anywheres up to one hundred plants in one given area. There is an average of 50/50 male/female ratio for seed, In prime areas with rich fertile soil with a ph of 6-7, and plenty of sun, I can get a ratio of up to 80 females per 100. When grown in slightly worst conditions, swampy wet places, high acidic soils, not as much light, the female count declines dramactically, producing alot more males. Ive had up to 70 males per 100, which is pretty crappy. What I am thinking is marijuana plants have the ability to change their sex at any given time throughout the veg period, and it is not fully determined until flowering based on the surrounding enviroment. Id love to hear some feed back, happy toking guys :weed:

there is no way to know either way unless there is a document-able difference among seeds/plants other than the showing of male or female flowers.

i've been barking up this tree forever. the best i can come up with is comparing the cannabis to similar plants, but similar plants are not cannabis, are they? i think it is mostly predetermined but "influence-able". i think the instability of some of the newer genetics might be giving us the wrong idea, though. at what point did we cause all these hermies to rear thier heads, or did we? did monks 1000 years ago have all these hermies? did hermies become more common once we began a certain gardening/breeding practice? would these hermies really have died off in the wild or do we just tell ourselves that so we feel better? having all these hermies in the growing world might give us the idea that having both sex flowers is more common than it really is or should be.

i like to think the sex is determined while still on the bush a nice mix to assure the race one way or the other (male female)

Reading about breeding I came across this words and I believe that's possible.

The sex of the plant will be determined at the moment of fertilization. But
also outside circumstances can have an influence on this and because of these
external circumstances a female plant can bloom like a male and visa versa.

from all the reading about genetics and about hormones i feel this is the most accurate statements. a plant with male genetics will always have male genetics and vice versa with females, BUT changes in hormones, by random genetic traits or but outside manipulation from human or environment can cause a plant of either sex to bare flowers of the other sex.
