Setup Help Needed

I'm getting ready to setup a new grow area in a spare bedroom. The bedroom is 10x12 with a window on the North and East walls. I am wanting to have a perpetual grow with 4 ladies in flowering and 4 in veg. I'll always be starting from seed so i wont need room for a mother plant.

I plan to use a 1000w HPS for the flowering plants and a 600w or maybe something a bit smaller for the vegging plants.

I can setup the room however i want and the only thing i CANT do is vent to the attic or have equipment up there due to no space. It is LEGAL to grow in the state i'm in. I will need to scrub the air and send the heat outside thru the window i'm guessing.

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. I plan to give each grow area bout 4x4 of space since thats what a 1000w will cover.

I'm an experienced grower. I simply prefer seeds. I'm not sure how i'll divide the room for lighting purposes, thats why i'm asking for ideas.
i can put up a temp wall, tarps, etc

First choice for ventilating heat is always a chimney IMO, but not everyone has one. So if you have to, use the window.
In that case build a simple box around the windows. One for extraction with duct ports to attach ducting to, the other similar but with bug screen for passive intake to the room and tents/sections within. Build them with blocking light in and out in mind. Look into light traps for the intake. Nothing fancy needed.

Two 4x4s sounds fair. You could run a 5x5 with a 1000w HPS but that's your call. 600w MH in veg is great. Doesn't need to be 600w but more light is faster veg growth.

I would go with air cooled hoods unless you live in a cold climate.
Quality fans will be quieter and last longer than cheap ones.
Quality filters will work better than cheap ones and usually last longer.
Don't under size your filters.
Start looking into circulation fans too. There are many types, you don't want to lose too much floor space.
You want a few hydrometers which are cheap. For temps and RH
Then you want to decide your medium. many hydro options. Many soil options and various in between options too.
You really want to keep thing simple for a few runs.

At that point you may or may not need a ph meter and ec meter but that depends on medium choice.
Cheap ph kits are ok to start with. EC meters are a luxury rather than a necessity unless in hydro.

I like tents but you can build if you want to.

Im sure there are lots of other things to discuss but hey im sleepy...:bigjoint:

I agree with corey- either the veg or flower section needs isolation, either a hard structure or a tent-I'd go with a 4x4 for veg and just use the room for flower. Vented hoods will make it easier to keep temps in check. Hopefully, some more HID growers will chime in on their experience.
